Digital solutions are critical to the future of patient care, with some healthcare leaders arguing we have a “once in a generation chance to fix the NHS”. Delegates at Rewired 2025 – the home of NHS digital best practice case studies – can listen to and learn from NHS leaders involved in shaping the future of digital health, gaining practical insights that can influence their own transformation roadmaps.

Rewired 2025 will feature case studies, presentations and Q&As with leaders, exploring the outcomes and impact of NHS digital health innovations. The two-day event is a unique chance to hear from influential NHS CCIOs, CNIOs and CIOs who are shaping the future of digital health.

Confirmed speakers for Rewired 2025 include Janet Dodd, chief nursing information officer, Sheffield Children’s NHS FT. Dodd will examine the challenges, opportunities and impact of designing complex digital solutions for paediatrics.

Healthcare leader Dr. Robert Smillie, chief medical information officer at Royal Free London will share how the organisation’s new Digital and Technology Advisory Group and Digital Multidisciplinary Team are providing assurances on the suitability and feasibility of all new digital projects. The group acts as a “single front door” for all staff and vendors looking to initiate a digital project – assessing its suitability, likelihood of success and impact.

Andy Haywood, group chief digital officer, NHS Humber Health Partnership, will describe how digital transformation is enabling one of the largest acute trusts in one of the UK’s most challenging regions to do things differently to improve the lives of citizens and staff.

Dr. Devesh Sinha, CCIO, Barking, Havering and Redbridge NHS Trust will provide a unique perspective – including the good, bad, and ugly – on a clinical AI trial in an acute NHS Trust. In a fascinating companion session, Philippa Kirkpatrick, chief digital information officer, South East London ICB will ask: Is the NHS really ready for AI? She will explore practical steps ICSs can take to increase the benefits of AI while mitigating risks.
