Dr Sabine van der Veer

Dr Sabine van der Veer is a Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Health Informatics, University of Manchester (UK). Trained as a health informatician, she is interested in how we can improve health care, equity, and outcomes for people with long-term conditions by using patient-generated health data. Sabine co-leads the REmote MOnitoring of Rheumatoid Arthritis (REMORA) programme. REMORA is a research programme that develops, implements and robustly evaluates the cost-effectiveness and digital inclusion of a complex remote symptom monitoring intervention for people with rheumatoid arthritis. It is one of the first initiatives that successfully integrated patient-generated data from an app into the NHS.
