Jacqui Cooper
Chief Nursing Information Officer, Health Innovation Manchester
I am the Chief Nursing Information Officer for Health Innovation Manchester, bringing extensive experience as a registered nurse with a clinical background. My clinical career was across Neonatal Units in Cheshire and Mersey, and with the Neonatal Regional Transport Team, shaped my understanding of frontline practice and high‑acuity patient needs.
I have worked as a CNIO for 4 organisations. I have led and supported the digitisation of Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals through pre‑ and post‑Electronic Patient Record implementations, ensuring that nurses “have an equal voice in the digital arena to ensure that information systems support nursing and allow more time for patient care.”
My work spans local, regional, national and global digital programmes, where I provide strategic and operational nursing leadership in the development, deployment, optimisation and integration of clinical information systems. This includes re‑engineering workflows, improving usability and ensuring digital solutions enhance quality, safety and the patient experience.
I remain committed to advancing digital innovation that strengthens clinical practice and supports nurses and midwives in delivering safe, effective and compassionate care.
