The 2021 virtual edition of Digital Health Rewired will kick off in March with the Interoperability and Digital Responses to Covid-19 Summits.

Monday, 15 March will start with the Interoperability Summit which will delve into the fundamental challenge of delivering joined up health and care services.

Key sessions will be Grahame Grieve, the creator of FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources), who will be speaking about the rapid evolution of FHIR and the need for interoperability in healthcare to empower citizens.

Grieve will be joined by Irina Bolychevsky, NHSX’s new director of standards and interoperability, who will update delegates on the next steps in the NHS’s drive for interoperability.

Health informatics company Alcidion are the sponsors of the Interoperability Summit and their chief medical officer Dr Malcolm Pradhan will be speaking from 9.30-9.40am about innovation though interoperability.

Away from the Interoperability Summit, Alcidion suggests Neil Perry’s session on getting AI adopted at scale is one to watch. The CIO at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust will be speaking at 10.10am on day three (Wednesday, March 17).
