AI in practice: Real AI use cases

Dr Gerald Lip will give an overview of where breast cancer screening AI is being used worldwide and, in the UK, the latest research results, current rates of adoption in real life practice, outline benefits of the technology to patients and the workforce. Health Innovation Network Kent, Surrey and Sussex will also share their evaluation of Smart Triage, which uses AI to triage patients requesting GP appointments, significantly reducing the 8am GP rush. Buckinghamshire Health NHS Trust will share how they have co-developed a tool that leverages AI to completely change their approach to patient experience management. David Bachmeier will showcase how Microsoft 365 Copilot automates routine tasks and is helping improve working life for busy NHS staff.
