Excitement builds for Rewired 2020 as packed programme is published

Highlights from the Rewired 2020 programme include keynotes from author, Caroline Criado-Perez and NHSX CEO, Matthew Gould, who will take to the stage on March 4.

The programme for Digital Health Rewired 2020 has been published containing over 80 of the most original, and engaging innovators and leaders from across the NHS and digital health sectors.

The Rewired 2020 programme focuses on providing attendees from all parts of health and care with real world actionable lessons and insights from those leading some of the most exciting digital health initiatives from the UK and internationally.

Crucially, the programme also places the digital health revolution in the wider context of digital society, including the importance of diversity and equality, with inspirational keynote sessions from data campaigner and author Caroline Criado-Perez, president of TechUK Jacqueline de Rojas.

NHSX CEO, Matthew Gould, and NHS Digital CEO, Sarah Wilkinson, the leaders of the two key agencies driving NHS digitisation will also deliver keynotes.

Digital Health Rewired 2020, which takes place between 3-4 March, is focused on connecting everyone working in health IT with the very best in innovative and disruptive digital health.

Day one of Rewired 2020 begins with the Digital Health Leadership Summit, a one-day conference dedicated to those leading on digital health across the NHS, followed by a must attend networking evening

The Rewired Leadership Summit will be opened by Jacqueline de Rojas, TechUK president and notable champion of diversity and inclusivity in the tech sector.

Her opening keynote will discuss the key attributes of effective digital leadership to achieve large-scale digital transformation, drawing on the vital importance of having a diverse range of leaders, reflective of wider society outside healthcare.

Day two of Rewired 2020 features the main Rewired Conference and Exhibition, which has moved to the bigger Olympia National. Seven dedicated conference tracks will cover the most exciting trends in digital health and innovation, including AI and Analytics.

Key highlights from day two of the programme include keynotes from NHSX CEO, Matthew Gould, Sarah Wilkinson, CEO of NHS Digital.

The afternoon keynote is writer, journalist and campaigner Caroline Criado-Perez who will be examining the unconscious biases that emerge from the gender data gaps in healthcare, technology and society as a whole.

Jon Hoeksma, CEO of Digital Health, said: “Digital Health Rewired is the most exciting event in UK health IT, connecting current and future health IT leaders and their teams with the best in disruptive technology and innovation.

“Rewired 2020 will be the most innovative and exciting digital health show of the year. The show’s key USP is that Rewired connects NHS IT leaders with the best in disruptive innovation.

“Crucially, we believe that compelling original content is the bedrock to a successful show, and working with our partners and programme committee we curate the best conference programmes, from international keynotes to specialist tracks and meetings.”

A key part of Rewired will again be is the Rewired Pitchfest on March 4 which brings together sixteen of the best start-ups who will battle it out in quick fire heats to a final on the main stage, with one be named the winner and offered the chance to have the opportunity to have their innovation tested and scaled in a real-world NHS setting.

New for 2020 is the Digital Health Data Lab, which is focused on helping delegates gain a better understanding of the latest developments in the use of data and data science tools, platforms and techniques.

Digital Health Rewired is free for everyone from NHS, public sector, independent providers, charities and education sectors, plus start-ups less than three-years old.
