Professor Susie Shelmerdine

Prof Shelmerdine is an associate professor of radiology at UCL, an honorary professor of radiology at City St George’s University of London and a consultant paediatric radiologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. She is the PI of the NIHR funded FRACTURE study focussing on safe development and implementation of AI tools for children with a focus on fracture detection on medical imaging and has several societal roles including founder and ex-chair of the AI taskforce for the European Society of Paediatric Radiology, member of the Royal College of Radiologist AI Advisory Group, and member of the European Society of Radiology e-health subcommittee.
