AI in children’s healthcare: empowering young voices

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming children’s healthcare, shaping diagnosis, decision-making, and communication. Yet one group is missing from these conversations: Children and Young People (CYP). If AI is going to shape their care, shouldn’t they help shape AI? We are creating the UK’s first Youth Council for AI in Children’s Healthcare, a youth-led community giving young people a real voice in the design, regulation, and use of AI. The Council will be co-produced, with elected roles, inclusive recruitment, and agendas set by young people themselves.
