Andy Callow is the Chief Digital & Transformation Officer at Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH), ranked #5 in the CIO UK 100 list for 2022. He is an advocate for professional and personal development, co-chairing the Midlands Digital Skills Development Network and serving as Executive Sponsor of the NUH BAME Staff Network. Andy’s role is the first at NUH to include a Board-level seat for the senior technology lead. He oversees a team of 440 across Digital, Information, Transformation, and PMO, supporting a workforce of 19,000 and a budget of £1.7bn. Previously, Andy was Group CDIO at University Hospitals of Northamptonshire, leading significant digital transformations, including the Group Digital Strategy and Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programmes. Before that, he led the NHS App from concept to launch at NHS Digital and managed NHS.UK’s technology refresh.
