From pilot to practice: making innovation stick in the NHS

Across the NHS, promising digital solutions too often stall at the pilot stage. How can organisations create the right conditions for innovations to take root, spread, and deliver lasting impact? In this session, three NHS organisations on the NHS InSites programme share their real-world experiences of moving from one-off pilots to embedded practice:
Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust will explore how they created the foundations for digital transformation across multiple sites.
Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust will share lessons from embedding innovations beyond the initial trial phase.
Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust will reflect on building the local conditions and culture that make adoption and spread possible.
Attendees will gain practical insights, common pitfalls to avoid, and proven strategies for turning promising pilots into sustainable change.
