Catrin Evans is a nurse and Professor of Evidence Based Healthcare. She is co-Director of the University of Nottingham Centre for Evidence Based Healthcare. Her research interests lie in women’s healthcare, most recently exploring the impacts of digital transformation in the delivery of equitable and person centred care. Her current research relates to the implementation of the digital maternity care record. Digital developments are examples of rapid practice/policy-led innovations, with an evidence base that sometimes lags behind. Catrin’s work explores how we can utilise evidence, in combination with the user experience, to generate actionable insights to inform system refinements and address implementation challenges.
