Adrian is the Chief Analyst for the North-West Region in NHS England. Adrian's dissertation explored how data and analytics are currently used across health and social care in the North West of England and what holds back more meaningful, impactful use. Using surveys, interviews, focus groups and data analysis, the study identified key themes influencing data and analytical maturity, from workforce skills to governance and data quality. In response, it proposed a new Data and Analytics Maturity Framework to help organisations assess, benchmark and improve how they use data to support better patient care, service improvement, and research and innovation.
