Dr Asra Aslam

Dr Asra Aslam will present NIHR-DynAIRx work at the REWIRED conference, for which she has also been shortlisted as one of the top-2 finalists for the prestigious ‘Hildi Franke Award’ at the Primary Health Care Specialist Group’s 43rd Annual Conference, Education Day, and AGM 2024. She is Research Fellow at Institute of Health Sciences, University of Leeds, UK. She is also Visiting Researcher at Newcastle University, and Principal Investigator at Alan Turing institute in collaboration with Industry “Transport for London TfL”. She is currently leading research & development of Machine Learning models on DynAIRx project, teach AI/ML in Health Sciences, and supervise PhD/master’s students. Her research interests are Computer Vision, Deep Neural Networks, Smart Cities, and Health Sciences. Previously, she worked as “Machine Learning Research Scientist” and Lecturer in industry/academics. She is General Chair for Women in Computer Vision community (>2000), Academics AI Lead UK for Women in AI (WAI >10,000), and recipient of Global Talent Endorsement (with Exceptional) by UKRI. She has authored over 27 research publications (>1300 citations) and serves on the Editorial Board, Area Chair, and Program Committee, contributing to multiple top-tier journals and leading international conferences.
