Lucy is a Clinical Business Analyst and Change Manager at University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB), where she helps manage the in-house Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, PICS. With seven years of experience in digital change and a background as a registered adult nurse, Lucy combines clinical expertise with Business Analysis skills to improve healthcare delivery.
In her role, Lucy leads a team of clinically trained professionals dedicated to enhancing the EHR system for better usability and patient safety. She works closely with stakeholders to ensure that changes are operationally effective and aligned with the digital health roadmap supported by the wider Digital Health Team.
From 2019 to 2023, Lucy was instrumental in the roll out of PICS to Heartlands, Good Hope, and Solihull Hospitals, marking one of the largest secondary care EHR deployments in NHS history. This significant achievement led to nominations for two HSJ awards in 2024: Digital Team of the Year and Digital Organisation of the Year.
