Dr Mihir Kelshiker

Assistant Professor in Digital Health and Specialist Registrar in Cardiology, Imperial College London, NHS North West London Integrated Care System

Dr. Mihir Kelshiker is an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer in Digital Health at Imperial’s Health Impact Lab and an NHS Specialist Registrar in Cardiology and Internal Medicine. His work addresses the ‘knowing-doing gap’ in scalable health system adoption of effective interventions and pathways. His research has been published in leading journals such as Nature Digital Medicine and the European Heart Journal, in addition to being featured in major international media outlets.

His portfolio includes the TRICORDER programme and cluster-RCT, a pioneering AI-powered cardiovascular diagnostic pathway supported by the NIHR and BHF. Other projects that also leverage ICS-wide NHS data assets include implementing and evaluating virtual wards, sleep apnoea diagnostics, digital waiting list prioritisation, and wearable technology for cardiac rehabilitation.

Mihir completed his PhD at Imperial College London on implementing digital pathways for cardiovascular diagnostics and management, and applies his expertise in the regulatory ecosystem as a Clinical Assessor for Scarlet Comply, the EU’s only Notified Body specialising in AI and Software as a Medical Device.
