Patel, Nishali

Nishali is an experienced hospital pharmacist with a specialisation in cancer and a passion for leveraging technology to improve patient outcomes and address health inequalities. As Clinical Lead in the Digital Medicines programme at NHSE, Nishali oversees the prioritisation, development and implementation of key features in the NHS App such as prescription tracking. She also leads on enhancements to the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) and advancing EPS into secondary care including piloting its use in Homecare services and community pharmacies to support independent prescribing.

Her leadership extends beyond her current role, having spearheaded local transformation projects during her time as a Darzi fellow and managing the national COVID-19 Test programme during the pandemic. A shortlisted finalist for the Next Generation Leader at the Women in IT Awards, she brings a blend of frontline clinical experience and strategic digital health expertise to drive impactful change across the NHS.
