Ann Slee
Chair, ePRaSE Programme Board, Independent Consultant Clinical Informatician
Ann is a highly experienced clinical informatics leader and pharmacist. She has led various local and national initiatives around Digital Medicines and ePrescribing with experience in the development, deployment and evaluation of digital technologies. She is a senior advisor and consultant to a number of national and local programmes. Latterly she was Associate CCIO (Medicines) for NHS England, amongst other things, leading work in the Digital Medicines arena, developing national interoperability standards, expanding the EPS service to support all care sectors and driving the use of ePMA data to support national research. She has championed and led the introduction of ePMA systems nationally into hospitals, leading the development of the ePrescribing toolkit, standardised display requirements and the ePRaSE tool and Learning Lab. She is a former Director of Hospital Pharmacy having worked at all levels in this sector. She has held several honorary academic appointments, published widely and was a member of the advisory board for the Wachter review and the Scottish Digital Strategy. She is a Fellow of both the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and the British Computer Society and was the winner of the UKCPA 2022 Outstanding Achievement Award.
