Asma Nafees is a senior NHS leader, Non-Executive Director, and former commercial solicitor with extensive experience across healthcare transformation, governance, and digital innovation. She currently serves as Deputy Chief Operating Officer at Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit, having previously been the Chief Analytics Officer, where she leads complex programmes supporting national and regional health system priorities. With a Masters in Healthcare Leadership, Asma brings a unique perspective that bridges law, strategy, operations, and digital transformation within the NHS. She is passionate about enabling better use of data and technology to improve patient outcomes while ensuring robust governance and public trust. Alongside her executive role, Asma is a Non-Executive Director at Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust and a trustee of The Lisieux Trust. A recognised advocate for inclusive leadership, Asma founded the cross-sector SHE Women’s Network, mentoring and supporting women and diverse leaders across health, public service, and business.
