Dr Murray Ellender

Murray qualified from King’s College London in 1999 and trained in Emergency Medicine before starting his career in General Practice 20 years ago. With colleagues from the Hurley Group, he was a co-founder of health tech business eConsult. This tech platform scaled from scratch in the NHS to a presence in 1 in 3 UK GP surgeries, delivering over 60m digital consultations. Now scaling in emergency care, the platform is live in 21 Emergency Departments and has safely triaged 2m patients in that setting. In 2024, eConsult was acquired by Huma, joining a global digital health provider. Murray has recently returned to being a full-time GP Partner within the Hurley Group
