Julian Jones
Head of Cyber Security, Digital Health and Care Wales
Julian Jones is Head of Cyber Security at Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW), the national digital and data organisation for NHS Wales. He leads the national Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC), delivering 24/7 monitoring, incident response and national security services supporting more than 130,000 staff and protecting data and services for 3.1 million residents of Wales. With over 36 years’ experience in NHS Wales, Julian has led the design and delivery of the national SIEM and cloud monitoring capability, alongside national authentication standards, privileged access controls and supplier assurance frameworks aligned to NIS and the Cyber Assessment Framework. A Chartered Fellow of the BCS and Chartered CIISec practitioner in Incident Response, he works closely with health organisations, Welsh Government and the NCSC to strengthen cyber resilience across health and care in Wales.
