Lewis Allett is Chief Executive of Cavell, the UK’s largest charity supporting nursing and midwifery professionals in times of personal or financial crisis. His passion for delivering frontline support began while studying journalism at university, where he first got involved in student support services for vulnerable and marginalised people — a path he’s followed ever since. Before joining Cavell in 2022, Lewis led welfare support and grant-giving services at the Royal College of Nursing, championing access to life-changing assistance for nursing professionals. Throughout his career, Lewis has worked and volunteered across a range of charitable organisations, always driven by a deep commitment to equity, compassion, and impact. He describes it as an honour and a humbling experience to serve those working in the nursing and midwifery professions who are the backbone of healthcare services.
