Dr Malti Varshney

Malti Varshney FFPH is a senior clinical and public health leader with over 30 years’ experience across the NHS, local government and the voluntary sector. She is recognised for her ability to drive outcomes focused, data informed change, reduce unwarranted variation and improve population health at scale. She has led major transformation programmes at national, regional and local levels, including as Director of Clinical Networks and Senate for London, where she embedded service improvement approaches and delivered measurable improvements in quality and equity. As Director of Personalised Care at NHS England, she shaped the strategic and operational approach for implementing Integrated Neighbourhood Teams, ensuring the model was practical, locally owned and informed by clear, data driven insights. In her current role as Director of Strategic Change and Population Health at NHS Kent and Medway ICB, Malti brings together clinical expertise, public health insight and a commitment to data informed, evidence led practice. She is known for her collaborative leadership and her ability to build strong, trust based partnerships across complex systems to deliver sustainable, outcomes focused improvement and reduce health inequalities.
