Dr Mark Simmonds is a Consultant in Critical Care Medicine and Deputy Medical Director at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH), where he has played a central role in digital transformation. Since 2015, he has clinically led the development of the mobile-centric Nervecentre EPR, shaping a data-driven approach to improving care quality, operational flow and clinical safety. Most recently, Mark served as Senior Responsible Owner for the Nervecentre PAS, Theatres and Outpatients programme, delivering the first end-to-end implementation of this novel EPR model in November 2025.
