Martin Dennys

Martin is a highly experienced technology project and programme delivery manager with experience in the private and public sector leading professions and communities of practice. He leads Digital Profession delivery for NHS England where he is driving a national DDaT competency framework, reference job role descriptions and job descriptions along with clear workforce strategic planning. Martin acts as an expert assurance reviewer of large complex public sector projects on behalf of the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority (NISTA) as a High-Risk Review Team Leader and has performed reviews across DfE, FCO, Genomics England, HMRC, HO, MoD, MoJ, ONS and VOSA. He has recovered red rated projects to green. Martin has a background in ICT, utilities, retail, finance and health programme delivery for both the public and private sector, particularly for outsourced services and blended delivery teams. He has been working with agile as well as classic project delivery methods and how these operate in tandem to deliver policy objectives. Martin first worked in the NHS as technology provider to UCLH Trust in London for 2.5 years. He has since joined the national NHS organisations and had responsibility for the delivery of several major technology programmes for the NHS including a secondment into Genomics England to set up its ICT, data and data centre requirements for the 100,000 Genomes Project. Martin is Chartered as a Project Professional (ChPP), IT Professional (CITP) and Engineer (CEng), and a member of British Computer Society (BCS), Federation for Informatics Professionals (FEDIP) and Association of Project Management (APM).
