Samantha is Director of Research + Innovation at leading patient charity Asthma + Lung UK, where she champions the integration of digital technologies to transform respiratory diagnosis and care. She oversees programmes that (1) advance understanding of asthma, COPD and other lung conditions through grant funding that responds directly to unmet patient needs; (2) expand national and international investment in respiratory research to close the long-standing gap between disease burden and innovation funding; and (3) elevate the voices and lived experiences of people with lung conditions to ensure that new diagnostic and self-management tools—especially digital and data-driven solutions—are relevant, equitable, and truly centred on patients.
