Steve Roest

Host, HealthTech Hour
Steve is the CEO and co-founder of PocDoc, one of the UK’s fastest-growing health tech companies. PocDoc’s mission is to detect, screen for, and prevent chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and chronic kidney disease - conditions that put millions at risk of early death and place immense pressure on healthcare systems. In 2025, Steve was accepted onto the prestigious NHS Innovation Accelerator (NIA), recognising PocDoc’s potential to drive innovation and scale within the NHS. Every other Tuesday he hosts his live show “HealthTech Hour”, which now has 300,000 streams a month, and has featured former Health Secretary Matt Hancock and Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill as guests. Steve is also a huge supporter of the people and companies driving change in health tech and healthcare - once a month he hosts the ‘Last Friday Club’, which sees him offer free business advice to those starting in the industry.
