Vicki is the Lead Medicines Optimisation Pharmacist at NHS North East London. Vicki is also the Clinical Lead for Population Health Management in Havering and the Clinical Lead for Digital within NHS NELHCP. Vicki's dissertation examined how a digital risk stratification and patient engagement tool could be used in GP practices to boost participation in the national bowel cancer screening programme and support earlier diagnosis. Through interviews, focus groups and observational work, the study identified key success factors for using technology to reach non-responders more effectively. The pilot provided proof of concept and led to recommendations for further pilots and potential wider rollout to improve access and outcomes in bowel cancer screening.
