Will Baker is Assistant Director of Live Services at NHS Blood and Transplant, where he leads national teams responsible for the organisation’s core digital infrastructure, platforms and operational technology services. With responsibility for the systems that underpin critical services such as blood donation and transplantation, Will focuses on ensuring that digital services are stable, resilient and able to support innovation across the organisation. Will is passionate about modernising digital within healthcare, moving organisations from reactive IT models towards proactive, automated and data driven platforms that enable better outcomes for patients and staff. He is recognised as one of the UK’s emerging digital leaders, recently named Next CIO UK 2025, and is a Certified Healthcare CIO.
