Digital Health has appointed the specialist health tech marketing and public relations agency, Silver Buck, as its PR partner for its Digital Health Intelligence service and next year’s Digital Health Rewired conference.

Now in its third year, the partnership will see Silver Buck support the reach of Digital Health’s Intelligence services, which provides industry trends and unrivalled market intelligence on the systems, technology and infrastructure at every NHS trust in the UK. Silver Buck will also help to amplify the Rewired event as it boasts some impressive content for 2022.

The event, taking place in a new location this year at the Business Design Centre (BDC) in London, brings together the NHS IT and UK digital health sectors. It will reconnect professionals from all parts of the digital health community including NHS and social care, suppliers, start-ups, innovators, policy makers and patients, as the digital health community becomes more widespread.

The in-person conference on 15 and 16 March will feature two packed days of insight and will highlight the companies, technologies, and trends shaping health tech. There is also a virtual fringe event, as well as an awards ceremony and dinner to celebrate the achievements of the digital health sector.

The Rewired 2022 programme’s key themes include national policy, integrated care, digital transformation, AI and data, and innovation, plus an ambitious new Digital Nursing Summit. The event will take place just before ICS digital costed plans are due, with ICSs due to be made statutory by April. This will be a crucial time to debate how we can best meet the challenges of ensuring ICSs are digitally mature and have ‘smart digital and data’ platforms by 2022.

Jon Hoeksma, Chief Executive at Digital Health, said: “We see Silver Buck as an important partner to help us accelerate what the sector can do across health and care. Their knowledge of the digital health sector and the connections they have with journalists will really help us to shout about our Intelligence service and promote the key topics and speakers the sector needs to hear from right now.”

NHS Digital’s chief executive, Simon Bolton, is the first confirmed speaker for Rewired 2022 and will be the opening keynote for the event. Bolton will discuss how NHS Digital will support NHS organisations and staff in their recovery from the pandemic amidst the backdrop of integrated care organisations. Additionally, the NHS Digital CEO will outline steps to improve cyber security of NHS systems and data and also highlight measures to reduce the burden of data collection within the sector.

Also speaking at the event is Chief Executive of Digital Health and Care in Wales, Helen Thomas. The keynote speaker, who was recently named Digital NHS CEO of the Year 2021, will share lessons on the development of the Welsh national strategy based on open architecture, standards, open platforms and key programmes across the country. She will also cover sessions on a single person record with the Welsh Nursing Care Record and National Data resource.

Stephen Bryant, Director and Co-founder of Silver Buck, added: “Following this year’s successful virtual event, Digital Health Rewired 2022 is a great opportunity for the Digital Health community to connect in person again. Digital Health Rewired is always able to evolve and adapt to changing times and with such rapid acceleration in the digital health agenda, it once again presents a really exciting opportunity for suppliers to come together to understand the market opportunity and showcase their solutions and case studies to leaders and end users across health and social care audiences. We are incredibly proud to be their chosen partner for three consecutive years.”
