Sonia Patel among final keynotes announced

A national NHS tech officer and international keynote have been added to the Rewired25 conference programme, ahead of finalising your visit.

Sonia Patel is the CTO for NHS England who has held national and local NHS CIO roles driving digital innovation across her 20 years working in healthcare. She currently focuses on strengthening digital foundations at frontline organisations, ensuring equitable tech access, and empowering local boards in digital transformation.

She joins an all-star keynote panel discussing the challenges of redesigning health systems. You can hear Sonia share her experience and views with public sector transformation expert Mike Bracken and Microsoft UK’s CCIO Dr Umang Patel for the opening Rewired25 keynote, 9:15 on the Digital Transformation Stage.

Prof Stephanie Klein Nagelvoort Schuit is the VC of the board of directors at University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG), one of the largest hospitals in the Netherlands and a global leader in AI adoption, having integrated AI and data science into everyday clinical practice. She is a pioneering professor of Future Healthcare, and a clinician with over 25 years of experience in intensive care and acute medicine.

She makes her Rewired debut as part of the unmissable keynote session: ‘Can AI save the NHS?’ on 18 March. Joining her is Haris Shuaib CEO of Newton’s Tree and Dr Nicole Mather of IBM who will explore how AI technologies can be safely introduced at scale for clinical care and support services.
