Dr Charlotte Refsum, director of health policy at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI) will make a welcome return to Digital Health Rewired in 2026.
Refsum, who sat on the data and technology enabling working group for the government’s 10 year health plan, has long championed digital health records, AI adoption and innovation to power the NHS’s next decade.
She began her career as a GP, and later her role at KPMG rook her to visit hospitals and health systems around the world.
In her role as director of health policy at the TBI, she is at the forefront of its mission to harness the power of AI, data and digital for the public good.
In a Rewired 2025 fireside discussion Refsum and Markus Bolton, chief executive at Graphnet, explored how digital care records could enable integrated care and accelerate future health and care services.
In the lead up to the event, Refsum spoke exclusively to Digital Health News about why she believes that a digital health record for every citizen is key to preparing the NHS for the AI era.
At Rewired 2026, which takes place on 24-25 March at the Birmingham NEC, Refsum will speak on the Digital Transformation Stage to give her views on what comes next in the NHS’s shift to digitisation and prevention.
