Interoperability Summit
Covid-19 may have temporarily taken Interoperability off Matt Hancock’s to-do list, but it remains a fundamental challenge to enabling the delivery of joined up health and care services and joining up the fragmented NHS. Significant progress has been made in recent years, particularly on standards such as FHIR, but far more remains to be done.
Interoperability remains a key theme of Rewired and for 2021 we have partnered with our good friends at Interopen, the industry-led interoperability coalition, to deliver a programme that will combine industry and NHS examples of best practice.
Digital Responses to Covid-19
The half day virtual event will showcase how a diverse range of digital technologies have been used to help health and care respond to Covid-19. Sessions will be delivered as a series of short video best practice case-studies and lightning talks, interspersed with interactive break-out sessions.
Digital Responses to Covid-19 builds on Digital Health’s very popular webinar series run throughout the crisis, which by October 2020 had seen over 6,000 individuals participate.

Cloud and Mobile Summit
The Covid-19 crisis has dramatically accelerated the NHS’s journey to cloud and mobile-based solutions and working, starting with the need to mobile enable workforces and provide staff with the ability to work remotely. As NHS organisations review their digital strategies following the pandemic cloud-based infrastructure and services look certain to play a far greater role.
Clinical Software Summit
With provider digitisation back near the top of the policy agenda, learn about the latest developments in the evolution and use of clinical software across the NHS, ranging from large scale EPR deployments to departmental systems, clinical apps, benefits realisation and deployment methodology. The half-day summit will include video case studies and lightning talks from providers pushing the boundaries of digitisation.
Connected Care Summit
The challenges of delivering joined up integrated care across the fragmented landscape of health and care remain huge. Drawing on the early experiences of leading Integrated Care Systems, Local Integrated Health and Care Records and other regional care approaches the Connected Care Summit will provide a series of video case studies and panel sessions on what has worked so far and where next on Connected Care.
Virtual Care Summit
Covid-19 showed how the NHS could deliver remote consultations at scale by phone and video, but virtual care, encompassing a wide range of patient vital signs recording and monitoring, or remote diagnostics, remains at a much earlier stage. Drawing on video case studies, lightning talks and panel discussions, the Virtual Care Summit will explore where next on the journey from remote care to virtual care.
