Not only can we get a better systemic understanding of what is happening right now, but we can completely transform care pathways. The better insight we have and the quicker we can get to that insight, the quicker we can improve the detection of disease, develop new treatments, and deliver care – enabling rapid change and the ability to evidence the impact of that change. The ethical use of AI and analytics will not only enable us to make informed changes to the way we deliver services, but it will allow us to shift from looking at what happened in the past to predicting what will happen in the future. It is the key to moving from reactive care to proactive and personalised interventions.
