NPIC will create a National Vendor Neutral Archive for digital pathology, creating over 2.4 million images or 3 Petabytes of image data per year in a single centralised repository and serve as a platform for the NHS to innovate in digital pathology, AI, and beyond. I will describe the potential benefits of pathology digitisation, uses of artificial intelligence in pathology, and the infrastructure we are building to bring digital pathology and AI to the NHS.
