Jo Hillier is an ambitious and purpose-driven Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO) fuelled by innovation and a passion for mental health and learning disabilities services. With twenty-five years of clinical experience in physical and mental health in the UK and New Zealand, Jo is both an Occupational Therapist and a Psychological Therapist.
Jo’s career is marked by a relentless drive to push boundaries and create new opportunities for patient benefit. Always enthusiastic about challenging the norm, Jo has dynamically evolved from leading new models of care and mobilising new mental health services to taking on digital clinical leadership roles. Jo’s unique blend of operational and clinical leadership skills ensures a user-centred and solution-focused approach to transformation.
A graduate of cohort 4 of the NHS Digital Academy, Jo focused MSc research on Best Practices for Waiting Times in Mental Health Care. Guided by this and numerous other learnings, Jo is committed to making the benefits of digital innovation a reality within mental health and learning disability services.
Passionate about inclusive digital leadership, Jo actively pursues opportunities to bring people with lived experience alongside clinical and operational colleagues into the leadership of digital transformation.
