As a respiratory and allergy nurse specialist in a district general hospital, I provide clinical assessment , support, advice and education to children and families with a range of chronic long term respiratory and allergic conditions.

I was privileged to be asked to set up the Warm homes for young lungs project back in 2023.  We use the CIPHA platform to identify families living in our region’s most deprived areas and families with children who have been prescribed Salbutamol and are at risk of being  admitted to hospital with respiratory symptoms. The service provides clinical intervention, financial support, onward referrals for housing support and peer support in the form of breathe buddies.
