Nicola Strickland is the next speaker taking part in our Rewired profile series.
Nicola, who is the president of the Royal College of Radiologists, will be speaking at the Rewired Conference and Exhibition on 26 March.
There she will be speaking in the digital imaging track on AI and the future of Digital Imaging.
We asked Nicola why she believes Rewired is the must-attend event of 2019.
Why have you chosen to speak to at Rewired?
Because the application of AI in radiology is one of the most crucial digital developments we are seeing within the health service. AI has the potential hugely to benefit patients and radiologists, both in terms of the organisation of clinical workflow and in the analysis and interpretation of radiological images.
What do you think people attending your talk will get from it?
Delegates should get an appreciation of the key role radiology plays in the whole of medicine, surgery, cancer and trauma, as well as an understanding of how digitally advanced radiology is compared with other areas of medicine, particularly in relation to the development of AI.
Why should they attend?
I hope to give delegates a good grounding in the state-of-the-art digital advances in imaging, and a clear understanding of the potential of AI in radiology.
