Four influential NHS CIOs announced for Rewired 2026
Three national clinical leaders driving the digital ambitions of the NHS 10 year health plan will take the stage at Digital Health Rewired 2026

NHS chief information officers (CIOs) Kate Warriner, Beverley Bryant, Paul Jones, and William Monaghan have been announced as keynote speakers at Digital Health Rewired 2026.
The influential CIOs join a growing list of top names appearing at the event, which will take place at the NEC in Birmingham on 24-25 March 2026.
Kate Warriner, chief transformation and digital officer at Alder Hey NHS Foundation Trust, was named the UK’s number one CIO in 2025. She has 25 years of healthcare experience, including leadership roles in primary care, commissioning, shared services and acute care.
Beverley Bryant, chief digital officer at Dorset Providers, leads digital programmes and services across three Dorset NHS trusts and is the senior responsible officer for the county’s strategic electronic health record programme.
Formerly director of digital technology at NHS England and CIO for the Department of Health, Bryant’s keynote will share her experiences of leading change from the top. She will keynote with Siobhan Harrington, chief executive at University Hospitals Dorset, on leading digital transformation.
Paul Jones, chief digital information officer at Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust, will provide invaluable insight into how to avoid digital budget cuts with a system under pressure.
William Monaghan, group chief digital information officer at University Hospitals of Leicester and University Hospitals of Northamptonshire, will share lessons from one of the most ambitious regional digital programmes in the NHS based on the foundations of shared products.
The East Midlands Acute Providers (EMAP) Digital Design Collaborative has seen the first NHS-built patient administration system go live and saved £1.6m through collective procurement and developed user-centred product teams as a scalable approach across eight NHS trusts.
These speakers are the latest confirmed for Rewired 2026, the UK’s leading digital health conference, bringing together names from the health sector and digital innovation to share insights, experiences and opportunities.

Dr Minal Bakhai, director for primary care and community transformation and improvement at NHS England, Dr Alec Price-Forbes, national chief clinical information officer for England, and Helen Balsdon, national chief nursing information officer, will all speak at the event.
Headline sponsors of next year’s conference are The Access Group and Optum, who also sponsor the Integrated Care and Digital Transformation Stages respectively.
In 2026 the event will expand its focus on AI and data with twin stages exploring all aspects of their use across health and care.
