Cavell is proud to be announced as the official Charity Partner for Digital Health Rewired 2026 conference held on the 24-25 March at The NEC Birmingham.
Digital Health Rewired 2026 is the UK’s leading digital health expo, uniting NHS leaders, innovators, researchers, and start-ups to explore how digital technologies drive productivity, equity, and better outcomes.
Cavell is the charity supporting UK nurses and midwives during times of personal or financial crisis, providing emotional and financial support and resources to empower those seeking help.
Neil Hadland, Head of Events at Digital Health, shares more about the partnership:
“Digital Health has a long tradition of supporting the development of the digital nursing community, recognising the vital role nurses and midwives play in shaping the future of healthcare. This year, as part of our flagship conference Rewired 2026, we’re proud to support Cavell, to promote their fabulous work in supporting the nursing profession with financial help, advice and emotional support when it’s needed most.”
Digital technology is transforming healthcare, with nurses and midwives often frontline users. Cavell’s recent survey of 1,300 nursing and midwifery staff highlighted the impact that technology in the workplace has on this workforce.
Results from the survey showed the positive impact of technology on the working lives of nurses and midwives with 34% of respondents reporting improved team communication and 36% saying they had easier access to professional development opportunities.
However, a further 1 in 3 reported that technology has not positively impacted their wellbeing, and the survey also highlighted themes such as an increase in screen time causing fatigue. It’s therefore important to work collaboratively to raise awareness of the positive wellbeing impacts, how patient outcomes can be improved and truly embrace user centred design.
More broadly, the survey reveals the reality of financial stress within the workforce and the importance of Cavell’s tailored financial support. For example, 42% of respondents had considered leaving their professions due to money worries.
Libby Rowlands, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Cavell, shares more about Cavell’s collaboration with Digital Health Rewired 2026:
“Through a shared commitment to support workforce wellbeing and strengthen the healthcare system, our partnership with Digital Health Rewired 2026 is a unique opportunity to connect with organisations at the forefront of digital transformation.
“We know nursing and midwifery staff understand the importance of technology in efficiently delivering excellent patient care. We also recognise that the workforce plays a fundamental role in shaping digital innovation that positively supports their health and wellbeing.
We are extremely proud to be working with the team at Digital Health at this leading event, and are looking forward to discussions with delegates who share our commitment to support those at the forefront of patient care”
