As a midwife of almost 10 years, I have a wealth of experience working within front line maternity services. My career has been fuelled by my passion for improving quality and safety and I have spent the last four years working as the Lead Digital Midwife at South Tees, a large teaching hospital in the North of England. This is a role which has allowed me to use digital technology to improve services. As a Topol Digital Health alumni, alongside my clinical knowledge I have additional skills in digital project management, leadership and IT, and I have successfully led large teams through digital transformation in line with local, regional and national digital agendas, including the implementation of an end-to-end maternity electronic patient record.

I am committed to providing the best possible service user and staff experience of digital healthcare services. This is driven by my dedication to improve equity and equality for maternity service users, and I have continuously innovated and developed a local digital inclusion approach – which was the inspiration for the national #fixingthedigitaldivide programme in the NHS across England.
